My Review:

Forget football, this is comedy non-fiction at its best. With important insights into the qualifying teams, such as their celebrity lookalikes and inappropriate anagrams of player names, this is far beyond a book on football.

Essentially split into two sections, you have a history of the Euros and the qualification journeys of various teams to the Euro 2016 finals with some facts and a lot of (hilarious) opinion, followed by a section on the Euro 2016 teams with a lot of facts (most of which are completely irrelevant to football but incredibly entertaining).

The beauty of this book is that, although ideal for 2016, it’s not exclusively for these Euros – I would happily reread at a completely different time and get just as much enjoyment out of it. If you’re looking for a little light relief with or without a sport theme, look no further!
