My Review
Action, adventure, romance, and some twists and turns – a fun read all round.
When Dr Kelly Bridge’s parents insist on her getting a bodyguard, she is mortified. When said bodyguard turns out to be aloof and arrogant Ben Jacobs, she is angry. But when the danger turns out to be real, they both realise that opposites sometimes not only attract, but make the perfect team…
The writing was fluid, the story engaging, and the action constant. The characters were well-drawn and the fun non-stop. Sure, some of the characters’ back stories may have been a little extreme (OK, just Kelly’s) but it didn’t detract from a story that had it all: adventure, romance, strong characters, comedy, and a feel-good factor. Highly recommended.
Author Bio
A former pharmacist, I’m now a medical writer who also writes romance. Some days a racing heart is a medical condition, others it’s the reaction to a hunky hero.
With two teenage boys and a husband who asks every Valentine’s Day whether he has to buy a card (yes, he does), any romance is all in my head. Then again, his unstinting support of my career change proves love isn’t always about hearts and flowers – and heroes come in many disguises.
